These materials will provide opportunities for the students to practice their phonetic skills in a fun and inviting center activity. This will help students become more fluent in their reading, writing and use of vowels.
Non-Fiction Research
This provides a variety of non-fiction books on different levels to help students strengthen their researching skills as well as learn to navigate non-fiction text.
Guided Reading Short Reads Fiction & Non-Fiction
These short reads will provide students with the practice they need to reach & understand more complex text & provide an opportunity for direct instruction to improve critical thinking and overall reading comprehension at multiple ranges.
The HearBuilder Professional Edition Collection
HearBuilder will be embedded into the Resource Room’s phonics and reading routine as an individual center on a daily basis.
Achieving Excellence in Readers Workshop
To help accommodate the needs of all students, some classrooms incorporate a Regular Education Teacher and a Special Education Teacher in the same room at the same time. This grant augments the current classroom library by incorporating addition texts and book club novels to help differentiate instruction.
