The NPEF has introduced a reoccurring grant to support Financial Literacy in honor of former Board Member, Denis Naughter. This was an area of study that Denis was truly passionate about, and we feel this is a meaningful way to contribute to the success of this program at NPHS and to remember our dear friend.
This project is intended to be a pilot program to enhance student learning and further develop critical thinkers in the area of mathematics. Teachers will use this material to help implement new strategies that will create a deep understanding of math in the classroom.
STEM equipment that will enable students to construct and program a robotic hand model. Students will gain insight into engineering behind prosthetic design.
Students will be able to explore project-oriented accelerated Math activities. They will work collaboratively and independently to examine and analyze math minds task to strengthen their abilities and support needed enrichment.
This grant will increase student interest and awareness of STEM topics through the use of storybooks and high interest nonﬁction literature.
