No RedInk Premium
NoRedInk is an online interface that helps students improve their grammar and writing skills, and also customizes lessons that adapt to individual students’ needs. 6th graders from both elementary schools can practice parts of speech, rearrange sentences, edit and mark up text, organize ideas into outlines, and manipulate multi-paragraph passages.
Learning through Play
The full-day kindergarteners will spend their school days in updated learning centers that provide for increased social-emotional learning and developmentally appropriate play opportunities. The “play zones” allow for movement, exploration and collaborative learning.
Leveling Up with Lego Spike
The Lego Spike sets allow elementary students in STEM classes to learn engineering and coding. Lessons are tailored for each age level where younger students code and build vehicles and older students learn Python coding and design products to address real-world problems.
Continuing to MERGE Instruction with Augmented Reality
Merge AR software uses ‘cubes’ as digital augmented reality teaching aides. The content in the software includes resources for numerous core subject areas such as real time data from NASA on weather, anatomy, cells, energy sources, dinosaurs, geology and simple machines.
Flying High
This grant brings drone technology to elementary school classrooms. Students will get exposure to hand-on content creation, editing and analysis using drone photography and video production.
