By attending the Live From Surgery program at the Liberty Science Center, students are able to experience an operating room, peer over the shoulders of a medical team, and talk to surgeons during surgery.
Preparing and Conquering the Test
Method Test Prep is an online self-directed program which provides students with an additional opportunity to prepare for college testing, such as the SAT and ACT. It provides review material directly on their iPads which can be accessed at anytime.
Digital Photography in the Twenty-first Century
This project will enhance the existing curricula by adding twenty-first century technology to our photography courses. Students will be able to expand their photographic experience with the addition of a Nikon SLR Camera, wireless color inkjet printer, ink cartridges, paper and ScanDisks.
STEM-Bridge Building in the Classroom
With the materials provided by this grant, students are able to work in teams to design and build a Through Truss Bridge. This Bridge Building STEM activity incorporates student-centered, inquiry-based learning with multiple opportunities for differentiated instruction.
STEM and Art Combined-3D Pens
The technology of 3D pens allows students to create 3D models using a lightweight hand-held tool. The origin of this company was funded by a Kickstarter campaign and exposes our students to cutting edge technology and the power of entrepreneurs and innovation.
