Mosaic Squares for Front Lobby
All interested Middle School and High School students will work together to create a series of mosaic panels to be installed in front of the guidance office to leave a lasting footprint on the school while exploring this unusual art medium.
RoboLab: Team Challenge
Additional funding is being provided to enhance the RoboLab, which was initiated last year through an NPEF grant, by providing a laptop computer dedicated to this seventh and eighth grade science mod, making the system portable and giving the instructor the ability to design, present, and run additional robotics challenges.
Cooperative Learning Activities through Adventure-Based Education
This grant provides Project Adventure equipment for the middle-school physical education program to add activities and games for building team-work and trust. The program is designed to teach students how to appropriately interact with others using conflict resolution and good decision-making skills.
Literacy Nights
A Literacy Night will be held this spring for students and families at A.W. Roberts and Salt Brook Schools featuring exciting and effective family reading activities presented by district teachers.
A Garden for Learning: Creating and Sustaining a School Vegetable Garden
