Robotics Module
Building upon a previous grant, the Middle School introduced a Robotics module titled “RoboChallenge: Race Against Time”. The module builds on the experiences of the fourth and sixth grade models of design curriculum. The addition of the EV3 Robotics kit provides programmable intelligent bricks that control motors and sensors, as well as providing wireless communication.
Band Room Sound System
With an average of 150 students utilizing the band room everyday, this grant helps to insure that each student has a positive and gratifying musical experience with a good and reliable sound system which includes an Onkyo receiver and Bose speakers.
IPads in the World Language Classroom
The acquisition of iPads will provide learners in the World Language classrooms an opportunity to listen, read, record, collaborate, share and create with technology.
Courage, Strength & Character
In an effort to assist our students with feelings of self-worth and confidence, Dr. Fallon, a motivational speaker from Rutgers University, will be coming to the Middle School. Keyboards
With the addition of 30 keyboards, English teachers and students will have the ability to utilize new applications, means of note-taking and organization, as well as writing tools with ease. The attachable keyboards students will be more inclined and able to write papers and take notes.
