Sustainable Earth Program
The funds for this grant will be used for an interactive Social Studies simulation conducted with the freshman class. During the program, the students will explore the causes and effects of the environmental challenges facing the world today.
The activities are coordinated by members of Educational Information and Resource Center (EIRC), a New Jersey public service agency. They have developed a multi-media presentation during which the students will expand their knowledge of the physical and cultural geography of the United States and its neighbors.
Students are also given an opportunity to develop their communication and problem-solving skills as they participate in the various stages of the simulation and play a part in the school’s larger effort to improve New Providence’s environmental policies.
