Word Wizards
Students needs differ not only by reading level, but also by level of spelling development. This grant provides materials to assist teacher’s planning instruction at each developmental stage. Word Study includes hands-on manipulation of words and analysis of spelling patterns. This will then help the students analyze and think about words. The knowledge and skills they attain transfers not only to spelling, but to phonics and vocabulary as well.
