Grants in Action

Engaging the Visual Learner

Four document cameras were purchased; two for each elementary school. These cameras project and enlarge items so that everyone in the class can easily view them at the same time. They can be used for studying photographs, artwork and illustrations and for viewing the illustrations and the text for a book being read aloud.

In addition they allow the sharing/examining of teacher and student writing, science experiments, demonstrating how to play a math game, and showing younger students how to complete simple step by step tasks such as cutting and folding.
