Maria is one of the newest members of the NPEF, joining in 2022. She and her husband, Jonathan moved to New Providence in 2015. They have three children: Thomas, Elizabeth, and Abigail. Their oldest two attend Salt Brook school and their youngest is in nursery school in town.
Maria received her Bachelor’s Degree at Montclair State University, where she majored in English/elementary education. She also holds a master’s degree in elementary mathematics from Fairleigh Dickinson University. Maria’s work experience includes 15 years with the Clifton Board of Education as an elementary school teacher, where she taught first, second, and third grade. She participated in various school committees. Currently, Maria is working as a kindergarten teacher at Allen W. Roberts elementary school in NP. She enjoys teaching in the community where her family resides.
As a new member of the NPEF, Maria hopes to use her educational background to help the community maintain its high academic standards.
