Dog Therapy Program
The NPEF awarded a BOE grant for the school district’s Therapy Dog program. This amazing program is focused on addressing the emotional needs and well-being of students in all our schools. A therapy dog is at each school on a regular basis to bring smiles and enhance the counseling programs.
Vernier GoDirect Probe
The Vernier Go Direct Probes allow high school and middle school students to conduct experiments and collect data that integrate with their school iPads in real-time. The probes are inline with the NGSS/NJSLS-Science standards and will allow students to more effectively learn these science and engineering skills.
Empowering Our Innovators: 3D Printing-STEM Class
The 3D printers are used by both high school and middle school students in the Architecture, Engineering, and Design and Modeling curriculums. The 3D models are created as prototypes and enhance the analysis and design processes in the classroom.
NoRedInk Premium Subscription
NoRedInk is an online interface that helps students improve their grammar and writing skills, and also customizes lessons that adapt to individual students’ needs. Middle school students can practice parts of speech, rearrange sentences, edit and mark up text, organize ideas into outlines, and manipulate multi-paragraph passages.
Ping Pong Tables
The middle school ping pong club brings together students in small groups to learn the game and compete in tournaments. This grant supplies additional tables for more students to participate.
