Gregory Robinson is a Senior Director – Head of Market Intelligence within Moody’s Analytics Central Product Group. Greg is responsible for delivering insight to Moody’s leaders by partnering with domain strategists, relationship managers, and global management to understand and improve MA’s competitive, differentiated and open positioning in current and future markets. Prior to this role, Greg led
two sales teams in the Americas — a team of sales professionals focused on Tier 1 customers for our Credit Assessment and Origination (CAO) Product Suite and the Moody’s Analytics Sales Development (MASD) Program. The MASD program is a 6-12 transitional program to generate new business leads across the Americas and develop, mentor and train a team of future sales professionals. He also served as the Co-Chair for the Multicultural Employee Resource Group (MERG), which hosts impactful events, programs and activities for the Moody’s community. Lastly, he is the Co-Founder and Program Lead for Moody’s CORE (Creating Opportunities for Racial Equity) program, which is a One Moody’s initiative to engage, empower and invest in multicultural stakeholders such as employees, customers and other technology providers.
Greg joined Moody’s Enterprise Risk Solutions (ERS) team in 2015 to cover the West Coast as a CAO sales representative. Prior to Moody’s Analytics, he spent over 15 years in the financial services industry in such areas as municipal investment banking, residential mortgages and fixed income institutional sales (mostly, in high yield and distressed debt markets). He held these roles at the following companies: Morgan Stanley, UBS Financial Services and Royal Bank of Scotland.
He holds a Bachelor of Science degree from Cornell University (2001) and a Master’s in Business Administration from Columbia Business School (2010). He also holds the following charters/ designations: Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA), Financial Risk Manager (FRM) and Chartered Alternative Investment Analyst (CAIA).
He resides in New Providence, NJ and lives with his wife (Irma) and two daughters, Isabel (7 years old) and Mia (5 years old).
